We have chosen to change the format of this retreat, changing from a weekend to a day long retreat.
We have based this decision upon the abundance of heartwarming feedback we have received and questions in response to our workshop offerings.
Switching to a day event means we can ask for lower time and financial investment for participants. We hope this will make it a more accessible event, both financially and time wise.Do you hear the call of the magick within?

What to Expect
This day retreat gives an opportunity to escape the mundane and venture into nature and your inner nature to find the natural magick you possess.
Whether you consider yourself and practicing witch, a curious newbie or are diligent dabbler this space is for you.Nestled in the enchanted glens of Kelburn estate we will embark on an adventure to cultivate the most magickal parts of ourselves.Activities on offer
We will open and close our circle mindfully with ceremony.
In betwixt you will be invited to join an array of workshops designed to help you on your magickal journey.Food
Lunch will be catered for along with cakes and bakes in the breaks. All included in your ticket price. There will be an oportunity to let us know about your dietary needs once you have booked.Accomodation
Whether you are travelling from further afield or you simply want to take advantage of time in such a beautiful setting there is opportunity to extend you visit to Kelburn.
Kelburn estate boasts a campsite with exquisite views and (perhaps more importantly) flushing loos!
You may wish to arrive on friday and spend the evening grounding into the beautiful lands of Kelburn. Or stick around on Saturday night and join us for a community bonfire before you head away.Camping is not included in your ticket price. Ella
Ella Humphries ( aka Dragonella). I've been lucky enough to grow up believing there is more to the world than meets the eye. I go through my days with the underlying thought that magick is all around. Sometimes it's easy to spot, sometimes it's hard to comprehend. Occasionally it's hiding behind the biscuits.
A passion for creation has fueled my work as a textile artist and storyteller. Weaving my own worlds from fibers and words. Color and pattern create their own alchemy.
Stories and how they affect us, has always fascinated me. Training and beginning to work as a funeral celebrant has given me greater appreciation for how we each create our own tales throughout life. I'm passionate to engage in death talk in all its layers and facets. Death has played a part in my understanding of natural magic and how I want to be in this world.
Grace
Grace Collett (AKA Madame Culpeper) is a Hereditary Witch who was taught the art of divination, tarot, runes, astrology and witchcraft at the age of 13. Since then she has honed her craft and skills alongside a career in counselling and psychotherapy. Her approach is therefore informed by many perspectives, most of all a compassionate and non-judgemental approach to exploring personal growth through a spiritual lens of connecting with Earth's magick.
Jess
For Jess, The Hedge Wench, the path has always felt full of Magick, from tiny moments being encouraged as a child to interact with the wee folk at the bottom of the garden , by my namesake , maternal great grandmother, to learning to read the cards aged 6-12 by my paternal grandmother and great grandmother, my other namesake .... I've never believed in this "grown up" world ..... and sometimes find it sticky and rigid to be in ....Lucky times are changing , more folk are being drawn to the "Other" Ways .... slowing down and immersing ourselves in Nature and her teachings.As an earthling , I celebrate being made of stardust and leaf mold .... weaving the tapestry of consciousness and the unseen, feeling the soft sacred rhythms in all things.My personal practices are akin to that of a budding alchemist and polymath , with a hefty sprinkling of spiritual indigenous teachings. I love to sit with the tapestry of teachings and weave them together , find the patterns and let the colours speak for themselves .... I'm excited to slow down and share these with you, let us go where we forget to see!
Romaine
Romaine was the kind of child who believed in fae and magick of all kinds. Lucky enough not to have the kind of mother who ever made her believe these were anything less than as real as you and I. This led her to follow an interest in Wicca during her teenage years and begin exploring her own magick.
Like many of us, the burdens of societal expectations and desire to “fit in” took her away from this path (though never very far) for a few years. Allowing her the chance to find her own way back, cultivating practices centered around her own beliefs and values.
Romaine’s practice is heavily centered around the natural world, the cycles of the seasons, the moon
and those within. As a lifelong Yogi Romaine consciously weaves the magic of her Yoga practice with the Magick of her connection to Celtic paganism and her modern interpretations of these ancient wisdoms.
She likes to bring magick into the everyday. She would like to share with you how with intention, mindfulness and curiosity we can encourage magick to bloom in the most mundane of places.

Driving we are about an hour from Glasgow and closer to two hours from Edinburgh.
Pop KA29 0BE into your navigation system and it will bring you right here.by public transport
There are hourly trains from Glasgow Central to Largs. The journey is about 1 hour.
From there you can find local busses to bring you to the road end and walk up the drive.
Alternatively there are local taxis which can be hired for the <10min drive.

As per your usual arrangements for etheral apperations be sure to be clear on arrival at "Kelburn Estate Pavillion" if you are unclear and simply say "kelburn" you may have a soggy arrival as you land right in the magickal, but chilly, Kel-Burn. The small river which gives Kelburn Estate its name!

We have 4 amazing workshops for you to dive into.The schedule for the day is jampacked and the Work covered may be deep. We encourage taking as much time as you like to absorb and reflect. A space to explore inner relationships around the archetypes of Healer, Sourceress, Wise Woman, Enchantress, "Witch" and why many of us keep her expressions within us hidden from view and suppressed.

Death Wishes: A Circle Talk - Lead By Ella
I warmly invite you to a space where Death is the subject. A circle conversation which I will lead drawing on my experience as a funeral celebrant and creator of ritual space. I will ask you to contemplate what death means to you. A key focus will be what would you like to happen when you die. I hope you will leave with some ideas to contemplate surrounding the only thing we all share. Death. The conversation path we tread will be defined and directed by the group's experiences and knowledge. Please feel no pressure to contribute. I will happily chat till the cows come home about death rituals and practices from around the world. I would like to be clear with kindness that this is not grief counseling. Dreaming Your Heart Wish: a tool for manifestation - Lead by Romaine
If you like to work with intentions, mantras or affirmations, this one is for you.A Sankalpa is all of the above and so much more.
Hailing from the yogic art of yoga nidra a Sankalpa is a deeply personal intention. Created from deep in your heart and in service of your highest good a Sankalpa can change your life.In this workshop we will explore what is a Sankalpa, I will guide you through the creation of your own personal Sankalpa, and we will activate it through the many layers of your being with a luxurious yoga nidra meditation.This will only be the first step of your journey with your personal Sankalpa. A well honed Sankalpa can set you up for a lifetime.
See Less Feel More: a blindfold journey into nature - Lead by Jess
When was the last time you saw without your eyes?Have you ever just immersed yourself beyond your primary senses?What will emerge for you in the darkness beyond sight...How will nature express herself when we cannot marvel at her beauty...Come with me as I take you on a journey within, and without.We will be drinking a herbal infusion as part of this journey (full details available soon) as we take you on a walk through nature.We will work in pairs, and spend over half an hour sitting still in nature (please bring appropriate layers). You will also need your journal, something to write with, a drinking vessel, and something appropriate to sit on.This workshop involves physical interaction amongst participants, and with nature. By agreeing to participate in this workshop you are consenting to the points above.

I don't feel like a "Witch" , is it ok for me to join?
Yes of course! "Witch" doesn't sit well with all of us. There is no expectation to identify with this title to join, only a desire to explore your own magick. Whether you are a seasoned pro looking for companionship and deeper wisdom, a completed beginner who doesn't know where to start or anything in between then you are welcome. All folk open to magickal ways and wisdom will find companionship and learning.
Is this retreat only for women?
Not at all. All genders of people are welcome. This is an inclusive and supportive space. We welcome people of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities and ethnicities. There will however be a zero tolerance policy on discrimination of any kind.
I have specific dietary requirements, will you still feed me?
We will do our best to accommodate everyone's needs. There will be an opportunity to tell us about your dietary needs after you book. If you would like to speak to one of us about your specific needs please get in touch.
I don't have anyone to come with and I'm worried about being lonely.
We totally understand what this can feel like! Joining a group of new people without back up can feel very intimidating. It is both our hope and expectation that the people attracted to this event will be as welcoming and warm as hearth fire. We will have shared meal times and campfire gatherings to promote community. We hope that all participants leave with a few new members in their personal coven.
